1. Who we are

Quid Pro Quote ("we", "us", "the Service") is a quoting, invoicing and job-management platform for trade and fabrication businesses operating in South Africa. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account and for the accuracy of the quotes, invoices, financial records and other content your organization creates.

3. Subscriptions, trials & billing

New accounts get a free trial (currently 14 days) with no card required. After the trial, continued access to Pro/Enterprise features requires an active paid subscription.
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via PayFast, our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card details - PayFast handles that.
You can cancel at any time from the Pricing page; you keep access until the end of your current paid period, and billing stops from then on.
Prices are shown exclusive of VAT; VAT is added at checkout in accordance with South African tax law.
Discount and referral codes are single-use unless stated otherwise, apply to the first payment only, and may be withdrawn or amended at our discretion.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to breach the security of the platform or another organization's data, or use the AI features to generate content for a purpose other than genuine quoting/estimating for your own business.

5. Your data

You own the data you put into the Service (clients, quotes, invoices, financial records). We process it on your behalf to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you cancel your account, your data is retained for a reasonable period in case you return, then deleted on request.

6. Third-party services

Certain features rely on third-party providers you may optionally configure yourself, including your own Anthropic (Claude) API key for AI features and your own SMTP provider for sending email. Your use of those providers is subject to their own terms; we are not responsible for their availability or output.

7. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service available but don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We may add, change or remove features, and may update these Terms from time to time - continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service, including errors in AI-estimated pricing or areas, which are always estimates for you to review, not guarantees.
